OHSU has free women's health exams in September- including a pap test, pelvic exam, and clinical breast exam. If you know women experiencing barriers to women's health preventive screenings, please let them know and encourage them to call as early as possible! We're excited to announce that exams will be available every month, please see note about October.
The OHSU Center for Women's Health will begin accepting Free Friday appointments on 9/9/09. To make an appointment please call , 503-346-1212. Appointments are first-come, first-served. The phones will remain open for as many hours or days it takes until appointments are filled, hours are 8am to 4pm.
For the first time ever, they've expanded appointment availability to include a variety of days and times to make it easier for women to fit this important screening into their busy lives, so in fact your free-Friday appointment might be on a Tuesday!
Free Friday appointments are intended for women experiencing barriers to receiving preventive health care and include a Pap test, clinical breast exam, and pelvic exam . Free Friday appointments were made possible through the generous donations of community women as part of the Campaign to Eradicate Cervical Cancer.
PLEASE NOTE: Starting October, Free Friday appointments will be filled on a month-by-month basis. Each month, the phone line to make an appointment will be open on the first Wednesday and will remain open until appointments are filled.
