You are invited to join us for an open house from 10am-4pm featuring Pfeifer MusicWerks Studio free class at 11am. This free class is designed to give children and parents a taste of the enjoyment of making music, with your little one. Come join us for singing, dancing, and playing with instruments and more. Open Swap is from 1-4pm. Bring toys, clothes, or books that your children no longer need and swap them for something new!

The Northeast Family Cooperative was founded with the belief that families can join together to share goods, resources, talents, and skills in order to create a more enjoyable and sustainable lifestyle for members; environmentally, financially, socially, and emotionally. The Co-op and its members hope to offer an alternative to the status quo – a community of parents and children sharing their unique skills and perspectives, and working together to share and conserve our collective resources.

Swap-n-Play Cafe

We love our neighborhood swap space! There is one in St. John's and one in the Sunnyside neighborhood. Now there will be a swap space in Nurture's neighborhood! The NE Family Cooperative is a recently formed non-profit organization sponsored by the NE Coalition of Neighborhoods. The NE Family Cooperative's first project, the Swap-n-Play Cafe located at NE 30th and Alberta (right down the street!), will be opening in October. The swap spaces are a great place to find community, have a safe an fun place for your children to play, and swap clothes, toys, and other household goods reducing your impact on our beautiful planet.

The Northeast Family Cooperative is pleased to announce the Grand Opening of our Co-op gathering space, the Swap and Play Cafe, on Oct. 1st, 2009. We will begin enrolling new members on Sept. 15th. If you are interested in joining our community, contact nefamilycoop@gmail.com.

The Co-op will be holding open house hours throughout the month of October to share our cafe with neighbors, prospective members, and the general public. Please come by and introduce yourself!
