Time Windows: A Workshop honoring story sharing, oral history and assemblage art

Would you like to create a piece of art using the junk of everyday life? Have you wanted to record your story, but haven’t made time yet to do so?

Please join Stephanie Sandmeyer, owner of KAIROS Narrative Facilitation for a three-part workshop that will utilize both oral history and assemblage art as vehicles for not only the preservation of life experience, but as a tool for emotional growth and empowerment. Participants collect common objects from their daily lives for inclusion in their assemblage art shadowbox between sessions.

The orientation session is Sunday, October 10th from 2:30-3:30. In the second session we’ll create our Time Windows on Sunday, October 24th from Noon-3 p.m. Both sessions will be held at Nurture at 1614 NE Alberta, Portland, Oregon 97211.

In the third session, participants will have the opportunity for a private, recorded oral history interview focusing on the objects they chose for inclusion in their assemblage piece. Interviews will be scheduled at the participant’s convenience.

For more information regarding KAIROS and Stephanie, please visit: www.kairosnarrative.com and to sign up for the workshop, email Stephanie at: kairosnarrative@spiritone.com or call (503) 234-2111.

Workshop cost is $50. Join us for this unique family and community building event!
